Challenge
Following the completion of a diagnostic assessment on the incorporation of an intercultural perspective across its services, Fundació de l’Esperança faced the challenge of transforming the identified findings and recommendations into a sustained process of organisational change. The Foundation aims to mainstream an intercultural perspective throughout its activities by reviewing practices, methodologies and organisational approaches to ensure services are more inclusive, equitable and respectful of cultural diversity. The goal is to advance towards an intervention model that integrates interculturality, an intersectional approach and the fight against discrimination as guiding principles of social action.
Response
Spora supported Fundació de l’Esperança in the design of its Interculturality Strategic Plan through a participatory process aimed at translating the results of the previous diagnosis into concrete lines of action, monitoring tools and mechanisms for organisational transformation.
The project combined working sessions with the Foundation’s management team, service coordinators and technical staff to identify existing initiatives, define new measures and build consensus around the strategic objectives of the Plan. At the same time, training and support activities were delivered to professional teams in order to facilitate the practical integration of an intercultural perspective into their daily work.
