Response
Spora accompanies the City Council of Gavà in the design of the Local Plan for Interculturality, non-discrimination and equal treatment, which establishes a framework for action of public policies for interculturality, equal treatment and non-discrimination, which transcends the boundaries between the different technical areas of the City Council, as well as between the local administration and the neighbor. To this end, the Plan reinforces the actions already underway and incorporates new actions designed to respond to the needs identified by both municipal services and the citizens of Gavà. In short, the Plan aims to consolidate a cross-cutting strategy that promotes the elimination of structural barriers and discrimination that condition or limit participation and access to rights and public policies for racialized people living in Gavà.
The Interculturality, Equal Treatment and Non-Discrimination Plan has been developed during the months of November 2024 and June 2025, following a participatory methodology, facilitating dialogue between the technical and political team of the City Council of Gavà, as well as with the entities and the population of the municipality.
