Estuar Fundatia [Romania]

Estuar Foundation was set up in 1993 by the Romanian League for Mental Health and the Scottish Association Penumbra. Its mission is to provide social options and alternatives for adults with mental health problems for their reintegration within the Romanian community.  
Estuar Foundation’s target groups are adults with mental health problems, adults developing temporary problems of adaptation and communication, families and friends of people with mental health problems, community members, specialists in psychiatry, social assistance, psychology, law, etc., local and central authority representatives. 
The success of Estuar is due to the ceaseless investigation of the community needs of alternative services for people with mental health problems. Every new service provided and every extension of an existing service is consistent with the results of permanent needs assessment.
