Drug use in Sant Cugat del Vallès

Objectives

General objective

Analysis first drug use the practices of the population of Sant Cugat del Vallès to specify this reality and define future lines of action in primary prevention and intervention in the municipality.

Specific Objectives

1. Define the profile of first drug use population from different variables: age, sex, training, socio-economic situation and origin.

2. Identify the main patterns and contexts of starting drug use of this population, practices and patterns of problematic consumption, as well as the practices of risk associated with the consumption of certain substances.

3. Define the profile of starting consumption by each of the substances: alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines (speed) and MDMA (ecstasy).

4. Analyze protective and facilitators factors of the first drug use that exist in the municipality.

5. Analyze the level of knowledge and use of resources and services of the municipality related to the prevention and treatment, as well as the valuations and improvement proposals made by the users.

6. Identify the needs of improvement in the municipality in this scope and determine priorities in prevention, intervention and treatment in connection with the consumption of drugs.
